  • 6/24/25- The order is currently delayed. At this moment, we don’t have an exact time frame. We are hoping for delivery in August. We apologize for the inconvenience.

6/5/25- Toters are expected to be delivered in July. We will continue to update here if there are any delays.

5/26/25- Last day for requests was the 23rd. We are not longer taking any requests.

5/14/25- We have received over 300 emails for 2nd toter requests. Please be patient with our office staff as they respond. Please wait until Friday to get a response.

5/12/25- We realize this change comes with some bump in the road. We will have one of our old side-loader trucks on standby this week to pick up the bags that do not fit in the toters. Please be sure you are separating your recyclables to maximize the trash space.

  • In May 2025, we will be delivering new 96 gallon blue toters to each household. Each single-family home will receive one toter. Each multi-family home will receive one toter per unit.

Residents will need to put these toters out the night before their pick up day. Our new truck has an automated side arm that will lift the toters into the air to dump them. Please have the wheels facing the curb to ensure nothing spills out when it is in the air. Make sure there is about 4 feet of space where you place the toter so the arm can safely reach it.

Your pick up days will remain the same.

    • Can I use my old trash cans? -No, please use the blue toter provided by our company. These are more sturdy, durable and compatible with our side-loader truck. With all residents using the blue toter, it also helps make the town look for uniform and clean.

    • What can I do with my old trash cans? -The City of Ansonia Transfer Station is free to residents, you can drop it off there! My Sister’s Place is also taking gently used cans of

    • I live on a one-way street, where should I leave my trash toter?- Residents who live on these types of streets should leave their toters on the right side of the road. Cans on the left side will not be picked up, as the arm of the truck is located on the right side.
